Brandon M. Rushing
Founder & President
Brandon formed B. Rushing Lawn and Landscaping, Inc. in 1995 just before entering George Mason University. He continued operating the business while attending GMU full time, where he earned his B.S. in Business Management and wrestled for the Patriots. After graduation, Brandon continued his horticulture training by earning the Landscape Industry Certified Manager title, through our leading industry association; NALP. Brandon enjoys playing soccer, coaching fast pitch softball and wrestling. Brandon lives in Springfield with his wife, Melissa, their four children and family dog, Zoey.
Melissa M. Rushing
Melissa started working at B. Rushing in 2001. She manages accounts receivable/payable and the day to day office production. Melissa earned her B.S in Nursing in 2000 at George Mason University; where she met Brandon. When she isn’t at work, she enjoys baking, the great outdoors, hiking, Crossfit and being with family and friends.
Jenny has been with B. Rushing since 2007. She manages maintenance administration, scheduling and production. She supervises the office tasks and handles our client communication campaigns and community marketing. In her free time, Jenny enjoys baking, indoor and outdoor activities with her family and managing events.
Tamela (Tammy) Addison
Tammy began working for B. Rushing in 2012. She manages landscaping administration, and coordinates every project from scheduling, notifications, materials, communicating with crews daily for updates until projects are complete. She handles all of the aspects of landscaping projects and production from start to finish. She also plays a vital role in managing the office. In her free time, she enjoys organizing, being with family and friends and cruising around the open seas.
Landscape Sales/Account Manager
Patrick owned and operated a successful landscape company in Northern Virginia for 20 years before joining forces with B. Rushing on January 2016. Patrick works with clients and prospects to offer guidance and recommendations on what is best for their lawn and gardens. Patrick helps ensure that your work is done to the highest level and as promised by effectively communicating with your team. Patrick was born and raised in Northern Virginia and currently lives in Fairfax Station, with is his wife and 2 boys. Patrick enjoys coaching his boys in baseball & basketball.
Landscape Sales/Account Manager
John is originally from Buffalo, NY. He moved to Northern Virginia in 1985. He graduated from Bishop O’Connell HS in Arlington in 1994. John received his Advanced Turfgrass Certificate from Penn State University and was in the Golf Course industry for 20 years. He was the Golf Course Superintendent at Bull Run Golf Club for the last 4 years and worked at River Bend Country Club, Stonewall Golf Club and Columbia Country Club. John and his wife of 14 years, Kelly, have two children, his daughter Avery is 12 and son Cole is 10. They currently live in Centreville. John loves listening to his daughter play piano and sing. John also coaches his son’s Little League and Travel Baseball teams. He is a huge Buffalo Bills and New York Yankee fan. John is also the Voice of the Paul VI Panthers Football and Basketball teams.
Carlos joined our team in 2004. He has over 25 years experience in maintaining heavy-duty trucks and equipment. Carlos is responsible for maintaining all trucks and equipment for safety, maintenance and a great appearance. At B. Rushing we take pride in our fleet of trucks and equipment and Carlos makes this a reality each day. All trucks and equipment that go out each day are clean, well maintained and inventoried for each tool. When our crews arrive they are ready or your project.
Ciara joined the team in November 2017. She assists in scheduling appointments, customer service and general office productivity. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with family, long nature walks, makeup and going to the beach.
Shop Dog/Food Stealer Extraordinaire
Zoey joined B. Rushing in 2012, where she loves to wander the shop yard and look for food. When she isn’t scavenging around, she is the greeter and feet warmer for B. Rushing. In her leisure time, she enjoys playing with her human siblings and cuddling for hours.
